Priston Tale, is a fantasy-themed role-playing game in a global (multinational and non-instanced zones) massive multi-online style. It was originally released in South Korea, 2001, by Yedang Online. It was created by Triglow Pictures Inc. (now known as Priston Inc.) and has since been published for Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, England, Philippines, Brazil and the Spanish-speaking countries. In 2004, the English version of Priston Tale went out of public beta (in which it had remained for nearly 2 years) and became a commercial pay-to-play game. On May 17, 2007, Priston Tale announced free-to-play service for everyone; instead of paying for the game, PristonTale has a cash shop in which players can pay real money for game items. On September 30, 2008, the English server for Priston Tale closed; Suba Games opened a new English server three days later.

The world of Priston is composed of two tribes: Morions and Tempskron. The Morion live in the floating city of Phillia surrounded by an always lush Autumn forest. The Morion are known for being in-tune with their soul and magics. The Tempskron reside on the opposite side of the continent in a highly advanced city, Ricarten. Ricarten is known for its high-tech security against wolverines. Tempskron are known for their advanced technology and physical prowess. The two factions are allied and trade between them is common.

The two tribes lived peacefully until an evil air started to arise around the world. An ancient prophecy fortold of mysterious and mystical airs that would shrowd the continent and bring about a new evil species. Both factions investigated and found that all the recent activity pointed towards the fulfilment of the prophecy. The world of Priston soon fell into a state of chaos.
